Bardejov – Bardejov is a historically and culturally rich city, considered one of the most beautiful Slovak towns. The historic center of Bardejov together with a complex of buildings forming a Jewish suburb of the 18th century was in 2000 on the list - the World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
The most valuable part of the Town Hall Square with beautiful Gothic town houses, Basilica minor vol. Egídia - Gothic three-nave basilica built on the site of a former Cistercian monastery complex with a set of eleven late Gothic winged altars, with the former Town Hall - the first building of the Renaissance in Slovakia, where the exhibition Saris Museum Free Royal Town Bardejov. Zborov– the largest village of Bardejov district, it is located 9km from Bardejovské Kúpele towards Svidník. Both the settlement and the castle of identical name are among the oldest settled localities of the Šariš region. The earliest evidence of the castle dates back to 1250 when King Belo IV donated it to Mak. The castle was renamed to Makovica castle. There is a tourist path from Bardejovské Kúpele to the castle, the whole trip to the castle and back takes 4 hours. Shorter path starts directly at Zborov village and takes 40 minutes to the castle. The castle fortifications are currently under repair, during the summer you can join various culture and sport events - concerts, guided tours, activities for families with children, etc.
There are two military cemeteries in the village: cemetery and memorial of the World War I devoted 28 Prague Regiment and the military cemetery of the World War II, which was the first in Slovakia reconstructed by the German organization for rescuing graves. www.zborov.sk
Slnečný Majer– is an agricultural and tourist facility, which is situated in Stebnícka Huta village. It is located 13 km from Bardejovské Kúpele. They offer riding school with horse-riding training, riding lessons, horse-riding in the nature. There is beautiful surroundings for walks. Near Majer is natural border with Poland, you can walk go to villgage Blechnarka or go to polish spa village Wysova (6km). www.slnescnymajer.sk
Prešov – third biggest town in Slovakia, 45km from Bardejovské Kúpele. Historic center is national cultural heritage. Prešov offers wide possibilities for shopping, culture events and sports.
Dukla - the national cultural landmark Dukla battlefield is divided into two locations: Dukla – the monument of the Czechoslovak Armed Corps in the cadastre of Vyšný Komárnik and the Monument of the Soviet Army in the cadastre of Svidník. Within the area of the Dukla battlefield, from the crossroad of Kapišová up to the Slovak-Polish border Dukla; there is a natural exposition with the armaments located in the villages of Nižný Komárnik and Vyšný Komárnik. You can find here reconstructed artillery barrage fire and shelters of the 1st Czechoslovak Army Corps in the USSR. It is located 40 km from Bardejovské Kúpele.
ZOO Park Stropkov – is situated 46km from Bardejovské Kúpele. There are 60 different animal species and a vivarium.
Kapušany castle - is situated in the village Kapušany, 35 km from Bardejovské Kúpele. Ruins of the castle are on the hill, it is possible to go there by two walking trails: faster but more difficult way from railway station in the village (green mark, tour takes 40 minutes), or slightly longer way through the forest (turn left at the information board in the village).
Šariš castle – 48 km from Bardejovské Kúpele, over the village Veľké Kapušany. Walking trail starts at local railway station (yellow mark). It takes from 1 to 1 ½ hour.
Pieniny National Park – is a national park northern Slovakia, 80km from Bardejovské Kúpele. The park is located in the eastern Pieniny Mountains on the border with Poland. It is famous for its natural beauty, especially the Dunajec River Gorge, which is a popular rafting and hiking location. The park offers traditional folklore and architecture, especially the village of Červený Kláštor with the Museum of National Culture.
